சங்ககால சைவ வழிபாடு

People live in different places in the world with their own language, customs and religious beliefs. Tamils are the oldest people in the world. Sangha literature helps a lot to know the history of Tamils. Saivism and Vaishnavism became the religion of Tamils. This review is intended to find and explain the influence of Saivism in the life of ancient Tamils through Sangha literature. Saivism is one of the oldest religions in the world. There are references to Saivism in the Vedas. Saivism was the dominant religion in the Indus Valley Civilization and most of India. Finding elements of Saivism in Sangam literature, which is the source of the life of Palantamizhar, this research paper explains that Saivism is the religion of Tamils and how it was formed.

உலகில் மனிதர்கள் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் தனக்கெனத் தனிமொழியும், பழக்க வழக்கமும், சமய நம்பிக்கையும் கொண்டு வாழ்கின்றனர். தமிழர்கள் உலகின் பழமையான தொல்குடிகளாவர்.தமிழரின் வரலாற்றை அறிய சங்க இலக்கியம் பெரிதும் துணைசெய்கின்றது. தமிழரின் சமயமாக சைவமும், வைணவமும் விளங்கின.  பழந் தமிழர் வாழ்வில் சைவம் செல்வாக்குப் பெற்றிருந்ததைச் சங்க இலக்கியத்தின்  வழி கண்டறிந்து விளக்கும் வகையில் இவ்வாய்வு அமைகின்றது.

சைவம் உலகின் பழமையான சமயங்களுள் ஒன்று. வேதங்களில் சைவசமயக் குறிப்புகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. சிந்துசமவெளி நாகரீகத்திலும் இந்தியாவின் பெரும்பான்மையான பகுதிகளிலும் பரவிய சமயமாக சைவசமயம் திகழ்கிறது. பழந்தமிழரின் வாழ்வியலுக்கு ஆதாரமான சங்க இலக்கியத்தில் சைவசமய கூறுகளைக் கண்டறிந்து, சைவம் தமிழரின் சமயம் என்றும், அது எவ்வகையில் அமைந்து இருந்தது என்றும்,  இவ்வாய்வு கட்டுரை விளக்குகிறது.
