Deliverable D3.1: Description of NI solutions and services exploiting zero-trust, exposure and compute continuum layers

Description

This document provides a comprehensive overview of network intelligence (NI) solutions for  enhancing mobile network security, efficiency, and reliability. It emphasizes the role of machine  learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics in optimizing network operations. The report is structured around three key network domains: the Radio Access Network (RAN), the Transport Network, and the Core Network. In the RAN domain, solutions focus on data-driven task offloading for vRAN acceleration, hardware accelerator multiplexing, and ensuring interoperability between network components. For the Transport Network, the document proposes distributing machine  learning models across the user plane to reduce latency and improve scalability in traffic classification and anomaly detection. Regarding the Core Network, the focus is on optimizing breakout selection for global operators, introducing a limited trust analytics network for privacy-preserving network optimization, and developing anomaly detection mechanisms for global operations
