Description

We combined two 3D inversion codes for the joint inversion of different electromagnetic (EM) methods, including passive and controlled-source methodologies; ground, airborne, and marine deployments; cases of joint inversions of Magnetotelluric (MT) and ground time domain data as well and MT and airborne time domain data are presented. The combined code allows the usage of mixed dimensionality between different methods to increase the efficiency of the inversion run in case that not all methods require full 3D solutions. The method produces consistent resistivity model. The example results indicate a higher overall resolution by combining the capabilities of the methods, but also highlight the impact of data inconsistency between the different data sets.
