Paper reference: Fichtner et al., 2024 The parameter files can be used with the code PION by Jonathan Mackey. The version of PION used for these simulations is the development branch, and the 1D nested-grid functionality will be publicly released in the next version of PION, v.3.0. The pre-release code can be obtained from https://git.dias.ie/massive-stars-software/pion by checking out the branch "devel" and following compilation instructions at https://www.pion.ie/docs/dev/. Readme for the parameter file: The parameter file "param_Pion_z004_r000_M1.000.txt" is used to generate the initial conditions for the simulation during the stellar lifetime (feedback of stellar winds and photoionisation). The parameter file "param_Pion_z004_r000_M1.000_SN.txt" is used to generate the initial conditions for the SN feedback simulations. Both parameter files are examples for specific cases of the grid of simulations. For the whole grid, multiple parameters need to be changed (see below). In "param_Pion_z004_r000_M1.000.txt": "OutputFile": output name of the file "RT_EVO_FILE_0", "WIND_0_evofile": input name of the stellar model "UNIFORM_ambRO": ambient density "UNIFORM_ambPG": ambient pressure "UNIFORM_ambTR0",...: ambient metallicity (elements) "EP_mass_fractions": metallicity (elements) if required (for weak winds): "grid_nlevels": increase resolution around centre "WIND_0_radius": change wind injection radius In "param_Pion_z004_r000_M1.000_SN.txt": "SN-snapshot-file": input file of the last output during lifetime "SN-energy", "SN-ejecta-...": SNe values (energy, ejecta mass and elements) "OutputFile": output name of the file "EP_mass_fractions": metallicity (elements) if changed for lifetime simulation: "grid_nlevels" Further descriptions of the parameters can be also found in the documentation of the PION code (https://www.pion.ie/docs/).
