AI Data Readiness Workshop

The World Data System hosted a workshop on AI Data readiness. The workshop was delivered by WDS-ITO Staff, in coordination with the ESIP Data Readiness Cluster. Participants were given an introduction to the ESIP AI Data Readiness Checklist which encapsulates considerations for data quality, documentation, access, and preparation. Following rounds of review and discussion for each of these checklist categories, participants took part in a pilot exercise to apply this checklist to datasets in their own repositories. A brief synopsis of other AI-readiness related developments was presented towards the end.
