(2024) A high-resolution 4D geospatial laser scan dataset of the Mariakerke Bad beach, Belgium, Zenodo data repository, https:/www.doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10433523, last visited **-**-**. For more information contact: s.e.vos@tudelft.nl Mariakerkebad_pointclouds This data set consists of 8417 pointclouds of the Mariakerke Bad beach in Belgium. Files are stored as laz files in local coordinates (Zero-point laserscanner is (0,0,0). Pointclouds have been subsampled to 0.10 meter and all files with a 95th percentile range of less than 100 meters have been omitted (ie are bad weather scans with fog and rain) in order to fit the dataset with the repository limits of 50 gigabytes. Global transformation matrix The global transformation matrix contains a 4x4 matrix to transform the local coordinates of the laserscan dataset to the Belgium Lamber 08 projection (EPSG 3812). Time dependent matrixes Time dependent transformation matrixes contain a 4x4 matrix to correct each laser scan epoch for small variations. Each scan epoch has one time dependent transformation matrix. See the data descriptor and scripts for more information about the transformations and how to use these in the dataprocessing. Data_descriptor_dataset_MariakerkeBad_PLS_2017-2018 Data descriptor of the dataset explaining the data set in full detail. Scripts Scripts for matlab/octave and python to perform coordinate transformations of local to global coordinates. Use pointcloud_processing_functions.m or pointcloud_processing_functions.py to transform coordinates.
