Description

This article presents antibody characterization data that can be utilized as a guide to select high-performing antibodies for Solute carrier family 22 member 14 (SLC22A14), encoded by the SLC22A14 gene. Six commercial human or mouse reactive antibodies were evaluated by western blot following a standardized protocol which compares read-outs in isogenic parental controls and knockout cell lines. The antibodies were tested by western blot on WT and SLC22A14 KO from mice testis to recognize mouse SLC22A14 as well as a SLC22A14 overexpression line from RESOLUTE consortium to recognize human SLC22A14.

Thank you to Dr. Keiichiro from Yogo Shizuoka University, Japan for donating the mouse testis lysates. We'd also like to thank the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for their support and nomination of this target as well as the Structural Genomics Consortium for coordinating this study.
