Description

Subject: This is an interdisciplinary lesson. It combines multiple subjects, specifically SPHE (Social, Personal & Health Education).


Abstract: In this lesson, children will explore the concept of responsibility, with a special focus on rights and responsibilities in education. They will learn that while everyone has human rights, there is also a duty to respect the rights of others. Additionally, the lesson will emphasize that responsibility involves not only refraining from actions that infringe on others' rights but also taking action to help those in need when possible.


Lesson Plan Method: The lesson employs various instructional methods, including face-to-face learning and collaborative learning.


Age of Students: 11–12-year-olds


Preparation Time: 15 minutes


Teaching Time: 70 minutes


Learning Objectives: By completing this learning plan, students will achieve learning outcomes and develop skills such as:

  • Exploring the concept of responsibility and reflecting on daily responsibilities.
  • Considering the relationship between rights and responsibilities.
  • Reflecting on the importance of education and understanding rights and responsibilities in education.
  • Raising awareness of their own education system and the responsibilities of its participants.
  • Practicing and developing skills such as empathy, analysis, critical thinking, group discussion, and cooperative learning.
