Difficulties of Students in a Vocational School

Description

The general purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties of students in a vocational school in Beijing, China, during the School Year 2022 - 2023. The variables included in this study are age, sex, average family monthly income, and year level. Students' difficulties are divided into five areas: student selection, type of educational institution, teaching staff, education quality, and industrial demand.  Seventy-five (75) respondents were students in the vocational school. Most students are older than 18, with a nearly equal distribution between males and females. A significant proportion of students from low-income households attend vocational school.

Students' difficulties level is moderate in all areas composed of student selection, type of educational institution, teaching staff, education quality, and industrial demand. Results revealed a significant difference in the difficulty level in student selection when grouped and compared according to year level. A significant result was found in the type of education when grouped and compared according to age and year level. Also, a significant result was established in teaching staff when grouped and compared according to age and year level. Lastly, a significant result was observed in industrial demand when grouped and compared according to year level.
