Workshop on efficient magnet- and RF power supplies

All research infrastructures use power converters, and these can be more or less efficient. The importance of sustainability for many research infrastructures means that energy efficiency becomes a key factor during design an operations. As design methods evolve, better and better control of the output is offered, and higher efficiencies become available.

To discuss this, a workshop was organised at ESS in April 2024. The workshop focused on efficient power converters for magnets and RF sources and sustainability aspects for RIs.
