Introductory Presentation on the VISIR-2 Ship Weather Routing Model

Welcome to the updated presentation on the VISIR-2 ship weather routing model. This presentation builds upon the original session held on November 23, 2023, for a group of Ph.D. scholars at the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime, and Materials Engineering (3mE) of TU Delft .

Since the initial presentation, there have been significant updates:
1. Source Code Enhancement: The source code has been updated to include improved cartographic projection capabilities.
2. Publication: A peer-reviewed journal paper documenting the model has been published in Geosci. Model Dev.

I look forward to discussing these advancements and their implications for ocean engineering and weather routing.
