T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: Ecuador, Napo, Yasuni, Ser, Sta., 19-30 Oct 1998, W. J. Hanson, 250 m (WOPC).

D i a g n o s i s: Antenna yellow; cranium mostly castaneous, with small black spot; pronotum mostly yellow, with small black spot; elytra broadly black in basal 1/3, with then with black macula, elytra red in remainder; legs brown.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 63. Head: (EW/FW 22/50). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate (PL/PW-110/110); (EL/EW 290/50). Abdomen: Female pygidium scutiform.

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, yasuni, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
