The Principles of Transparency and their evolution over time
Creators
Description
The Principles are a solid set of guidelines produced by four impartial organisations. They establish best practices for all publishers and journals, aim to improve standards among scholarly publishers and defend scholarly publishing against questionable practices.
The first version was published in 2013; the most recent version was published in 2022. This presentation looks at how they have evolved and examines some of the reasons for the changes. The presentation was created at the request of OpenCiencia for their conference series 'Issues in Open Access Publishing'.
