  "description": "Colección de algas del herbario EMMA. \nEl herbario EMMA surgió como colección asociada a la unidad de Botánica de la entonces Escuela de Ingenieros de Montes de Madrid y de ahí recibe su acrónimo: "Escuela de Montes de MAdrid". Actualmente, el nombre del centro universitario es Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Montes, Forestal y del Medio Natural (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). La colección principal de este herbario alberga plantas vasculares y se centra en la flora leñosa de la Península Ibérica, aunque también cuenta con otros elementos. \nLa colección EMMA-Algae es una colección de algas que consta de 37 ejemplares de principios del siglo XX, la mayor parte recogidos por Fermín Bescansa Casares en 1905 y revisados por Ignacio Bárbara en 2022. Los resultados de esta revisión se incluyen en la publicación: I. Bárbara (2023) Herbario de algas bentónicas de Fermín Bescansa Casares 1874 – 1957. A Coruña. Universidade da Coruña, Servizo de Publicacións.",
