Description of Methods for Identifying Charcoal Hearths along the Blue Mountain of Pennsylvania.
Description
This is a pdf document (created with LibreOffice- version 6.0.2.1 (x64) ) that describes the methods for identifying charcoal hearths from the 19th century along the Blue Mountain in eastern Pennsylvania. The area is identified in a GeoJSON polygon (http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1252418)
The methods herein were used to produce:
a digital elevation model (DEM)- http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1252441
a hillshade model- http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1252520
a slope analysis- http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1252977
These were used to identify charcoal hearths that are recorded in this GeoJSON vector file- http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1252985
