Rompiendo barreras: claves para identificar y abordar la injusticia epistémica en la educación

La injusticia epistémica, entendida como el conjunto de desigualdades relativas al sujeto en su calidad de agente epistémico, debe ser abordada para propiciar la justicia en los diversos entornos sociales. Este trabajo se centra en visibilizar este fenómeno con el propósito de inspirar cambios en las instituciones educativas y la formación docente que contribuyan a lograr entornos educativos más justos e inclusivos. Primero, presenta un metaanálisis que incluye las áreas de mayor interés y autores más relevantes en la producción científica, sobre injusticia epistémica. A partir de un análisis de contenido se identifican los enfoques y tipologías con que ha sido abordada y que luego se emplean para analizar los procesos formativos e identificar posibles escenarios de injusticias epistémicas. Finalmente, se presentan cuatro dimensiones desde las cuales se puede afrontar este fenómeno en el ámbito educativo: reconocimiento de estereotipos, diversidad comunicativa, valorización de saberes, virtud de la escucha activa.
