Type Locality: Indonesia, Billiton Isl (= Belitung).

Vernacular Names: Vordermann's Pipistrelle.

Distribution: Belitung Isl (Indonesia), Borneo (Sarawak, Malaysia).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 – Not evaluated; not considered in IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001).

Discussion: Reviewed by Hill (1983) and Francis and Hill (1986). May be conspecific with macrotis; see Corbet and Hill (1992).
