Oecomys speciosus (J. A. Allen and Chapman 1893)

Type Locality: Trinidad, Princes Town.

Vernacular Names: Savannah Oecomys.

Synonyms: Oecomys caicarae J. A. Allen 1913; Oecomys trichurus (J. A. Allen 1899).

Distribution: Savannahs of NE Colombia, C and N Venezuela, and Trinidad.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
