Salario digno en términos de rendimiento, compromiso y bienestar en docentes universitarios

Los incrementos del salario mínimo vital son analizados técnicamente en función de la inflación subyacente y otros factores; situación similar ocurre con el monto de los estipendios otorgados a los profesionales por su labor en las distintas empresas, empero, ningún factor analiza lo digno que podría ser o no dicho salario. Bajo esta premisa, y a través del enfoque cualitativo de diseño fenomenológico – hermenéutico, el presente artículo describe cómo afecta el hecho de ganar un salario digno en términos de rendimiento, compromiso y bienestar. La información la proporcionó un grupo de docentes de universidades privadas, estatales y eclesiásticas de la ciudad de Lima. La investigación evidencia información acerca de la realidad por la que atraviesan los profesionales docentes universitarios, suministrando detalles que podrían coadyuvar a la reformulación de políticas de redistribución justa de la riqueza y de salarios que satisfagan las necesidades de los profesionales y sus familias.

Abstract (English)

Increases in the living wage are technically analyzed in terms of underlying inflation and other factors; a similar situation occurs with the amount of stipends granted to professionals for their work in different companies, but no factor analyzes how living wage may or may not be. Under this premise, and through a qualitative approach of phenomenological-hermeneutic design, this article describes how earning a living wage affects performance, commitment and well-being. The information was provided by a group of teachers from private, state and church universities in the city of Lima. The research provides information about the reality faced by university teaching professionals, providing details that could contribute to the reformulation of policies for the fair redistribution of wealth and salaries that meet the needs of professionals and their families.
