This document deals with the first version of the PAROMA_MED network interconnect platform that has a crucial importance for a security and privacy-aware management of the network infrastructure that constitutes the interconnection layer PAROMA-MED leverage on.

It constitutes the accompanying document of the D2.3 DEM (Demonstrator, pilot, prototype) deliverable that addresses the activities and implementations committed in T2.2 of the Project Grant Agreement, that tackles the provision of Privacy-Aware Network Slices based on enhancements beyond the state of the art to achieve secure and isolated communications among sites/nodes/clinics.

The solution provided is built on top of refined definitions of the security and privacy level of the network components (whose novelty has been protected with a dedicated patent) and evolution of the classical “bandwidth/latency” optimization paradigm towards an effective multi-dimensional optimization (Security and Privacy constraints, Performance constraints, Traffic volume constraints etc.).

This task corresponds to objective O8 “Develop a secure and privacy preserving networking and interconnection solution for flexible access over the internet” and will proceed during the following period with additional tests, verifications and integrations activities in the context of the PAROMA-MED platform toward the final release foreseen for M31 D2.8 “Network and
Interconnect Platform, ver.2).
