Description

An efficient and equitable public transport (PT) network should aim to offer fair connectivity for all urban inhabitants at all times. Building upon the open-sourced data and tools, we have developed a new set of connectivity measures that use the disaggregated origin-destination (OD) level of analysis. The proposed measures focus on the relative competitiveness against driving and the complexity of multiple possible routes. We use hierarchical clustering to group the OD to help visualising the spatial variability of connectivity for Santiago de Chile. The next steps are to create a single combined metric and compare the connectivity temporally.
