2023 Oct 1 Patrick Broos (patrick.broos@icloud.com) This archive contains data products that supplement the journal article titled The Tarantula--Revealed by X-rays (T-ReX)" published in the Astrophysical Journal Supplements in 2023. The gzipped "tar" files archived here contain a small subset of the data files produced by our Chandra-ACIS data reduction and analysis workflow, in the following categories: 1a. The most important data products and plots produced by our L1->L2 processing. 1b. The masked event lists and exposure maps we used for diffuse images and spectra. 2. The Hubble Space Telecope catalog from the HTTP project, with our "improved" positions. 3. Spectra for all the diffuse regions and tessellates described in the paper, and the hand fits Leisa Townsley did for the paper. 4. Spectra and automated fits for >400 point sources, including the fits we did for Paul Crowther's paper in 2022. 5. Pile-up reconstructed spectra for the 3 piled sources in these data. 6. Timing plots for point sources. 7. Adaptively-smoothed diffuse emission images (FITS format) in three bands. 8. Our T-ReX point source catalog and various useful region files. The document "standardized_output_directory_tree.pdf" shows the directory structure and file names in these tarballs, and briefly describes the data products.
