  "description": "La colección del Herbario PSO de la Universidad de Nariño es muy importante debido a la ubicación geográfica del departamento de Nariño, el cual presenta una gran variedad de ecosistemas que varían desde los páramos hasta los manglares, extendiéndose desde el Piedemonte amazónico hasta el Chocó biogeográfico. Este conjunto de datos está conformado por 18252 registros pertenecientes a las divisiones Ascomycota, Anthocerotophyta, Bryophyta, Lycopodiophyta, Magnoliophyta, Marchantiophyta, Monilophyta, Pinophyta y Tracheophyta. Estos ejemplares, fueron colectados desde hace 67 años, por investigadores nacionales e internacionales y aunque la mayoría de estos registros pertenecen a Nariño (13813), Cauca (1229) y Putumayo (1187), la cobertura geográfica se extiende hasta otros departamentos de Colombia e incluso a otros países como Alemania, Austria, Brasil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Estados Unidos, Francia, Hungría, Italia, Panamá, Portugal, República Checa, Suiza y Venezuela.",
