Aspicera lobata Hedicke, 1928 ‘ incertae sedis

Aspicera lobata Hedicke, 1928: 75

The type material of this species collected in Tunisia was deposited in ZMH according to the original description, but was destroyed during the Second World War in 1943 (Ralph Peters, pers.com.). In the description of Hedicke (1928), he mentions that this species does not have notauli; considering that all aspicerines have notauli, we conclude that this species does not belong to the Aspicerinae.
