  "description": "The Invertebrate Collections is one of the University Museum of Bergen’s large collections of scientific zoological material. “Invertebrates” is a traditional grouping for animals without a backbone. At our museum, like in many other scientific collections, invertebrates are the remaining part of the animal kingdom when vertebrates, insects, spiders and millipedes (entomology) have been accounted for.\n\nA large part of our collection consists of marine invertebrates from Norwegian waters, but it also includes material from all over the globe, and some limnic and terrestrial groups.\n\nThese web pages currently include material from some of our most recent projects supported by the The Norwegian Taxonomy Initiative; \nArtsprosjekt_29-17_SeaslugSouthernNorway_2018 (Nudibranchia)\nArtsprosjekt_25-17_AnDeepNor (Polychaeta)\nArtsprosjekt_55-12_PolyNor (Polychaeta) \nArtsprosjekt_15-18_Hardbunnsfauna (various groups)\n\nMore records from other sub-collections will be added in the near future.",
