New Ireland: 2, 4.—General distribution: South and East African watersheds and adjacent oceanic waters east to Caroline, Mariana and Marquesas islands, north to southern Japan, south to South Australia and New Caledonia, 0–3000 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water and marine.
