Description

Food Supply Chain (FSC) is an essential service of a country to maintain a healthy population. Conventionally the FSC comprises production, processing, distribution and consumption phases. Modern technologies introduce one newfangled phase ‘Yield Prediction’. Machine Learning is one of the progressive technologies which is used to assist human experts in several domains. The advancements in hardware and software engineering makes it possible to apply machine learning anywhere there is a requirement. This work named as “Application of Machine Learning Algorithms in Location Specific Crop Yield Prediction” is indented to investigate the latest innovative methodologies in Machine learning which can be accustomed to predict location specific crop yield prediction. The evolutions in Machine Learning makes it possible to handle massive data, thus the data analytics can be managed seamlessly. A comprehensive exploration is performed to evaluate most recent research works, methodologies used, advantages and their limitations in performing the crop yield prediction.
