THE CONCEPT OF A NOMINATIVE CHAIN AND NOMINAL REPETITIONS
Description
The thesis discusses the concept of nomination from various interpretation approaches starting with a nominative chain to nominal repetition.
Each phenomenon in the language is assigned a specific, unique name. This is where the theory of nomination comes from - the naming process in which the elements of language fully (or partially) reflect the designated objects. E.S. Kubryakov characterizes the act of nomination as a speech-thought process aimed either at choosing a ready-made designation existing in the language for the named phenomenon and thoughts about this phenomenon, or at creating a suitable name for it.
