Role of Financial Inclusion on Women Entrepreneurship in India: Empirical Evidence

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the impact of financial inclusion on women entrepreneurship among indigenous self-help groups in Odisha. This paper has interviewed 321 women entrepreneurs, who are beneficiaries of NRLM working in the district of Sundargarh in Odisha. Under the aegis of NRLM, respondents have achieved financial inclusion through SHG-Bank linkage. Simple regression has been used to analyze the samples using SPSS. The result highlighted that financial inclusion significantly influences the development of women-owned enterprises. Additionally, women entrepreneurs have engaged in various economic activities such as mushroom farming, poultry farming, production of food and household items and tailoring.
