Challenges of calibrations in the midinfrared with VISIR
Description
"Observations and calibrations in the mid-IR differ significantly from those in the visible and near-IR regime. The presentation will give a general overview of the VISIR instrument, the chop \/ nod observing technique as well as the calibration plan. Challenges associated with observations and calibration in the mid-IR will be discussed using the experience gained from VISIR."
