We do this by directly investing in emerging community leaders around the world to organize open data science events. In addition to financial support, we offer grantees training and networking opportunities so they can better run diverse, accessible and inclusive Open Science projects and events.

As part of our 2022 seminar series for grantees, CS&S convened an interactive workshop with Shannon Dosemagen on developing guidelines for community participation. Shannon Dosemagen has extensive experience building intentional spaces and guidelines for collaboration and as part of our support for our grantees, Shannon led the group to reflect on and begin to articulate the values and practices they want to promote in their event (and what to do if those are breached).

The presentation slides are accompanied by this blog post.

</descriptions> </resource>
