Dans ce contexte, nous nous pencherons &eacute;galement sur des r&eacute;flexions g&eacute;n&eacute;rales concernant la &laquo; linguistique profane &raquo; (ou &laquo; populaire &raquo;) et quelques termes et concepts apparent&eacute;s.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Mots-cl&eacute;s</strong><br>\nW&uuml;ster (Eugen), linguistique populaire, Laienlinguistik, language awareness<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Abstract</strong><br>\nThe founder of terminology as an academic discipline, Eugen W&uuml;ster, whose work is still of great importance today, had graduated in electrical engineering, but never had studied linguistics in an academic context. In this paper we therefore ask ourselves whether W&uuml;ster can be called a Laienlinguist (i. e. &ldquo;lay&rdquo; or &ldquo;folk linguist&rdquo;) and/or whether his reflections on language show typical features of a non-academic linguistics.
