STRATEGIC RISK MANAGEMENT USING PMBOK METHODOLOGY: CASE STUDY OF SMALL BUSINESS IN THE MARKETPLACE OF CORPORATE, NON-PROFIT AND SOCIAL EVENTS

Description

This article aims to analyze the process of risk management for the improvement of the procedures adopted in the activities of a Small Business in the Marketplace of Corporate, Non-Profit and Social Events and are designed to enable of processes improvement. The article was organized contemplating two parts. At first, the goal is to conceptualize the terms of risk according to the PMBOK, highlighting the importance of risk analysis in the implementation of projects and at the same time, the relevance of its management. Explains project management, is presented after the contextualization of the small business market including party business segments. Then are discussed themes about risk management, applying to a case study and a plan of risks, ending with the paper conclusion. The shortcomings of projects and risk management in small business are addressed, concluding that the area of Project Management, which focuses on the Risk Management Plan becomes an effective tool in the control of possible risks, mitigating the adverse aspects and uncertainties that permeates the organizational environment, avoiding and reducing waste of time, cost, scope and quality, but also generating value for the business processes, reducing the levels of uncertainty and generating opportunities.
