    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;The notion of the four foundational principles for &amp;ldquo;data&amp;rdquo; &amp;mdash; Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and&lt;br&gt;
Reusability or &amp;ldquo;FAIR&amp;rdquo; &amp;mdash; was proposed by Wilkinson et al. in &amp;ldquo;The FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp;and envisages a set of first principles for research communities with respect to the management and curation of scientific data. FAIR principles can be seen as a &amp;ldquo;cross-cutting&amp;rdquo; cyberinfrastructure element that has broad application for the entire data lifecycle&amp;nbsp;model for NSF large facilities.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
