To achieve the goal of this research work, an experiment was conducted among students studying a foreign language. During the training, students studying a foreign language were divided into different groups depending on their age and level of foreign language proficiency. At the same time, each group began the lesson with work according to the method of mutual cooperation, and by the end of the lesson they finished according to the method of competition. In addition, at the end of the training, a survey was conducted to determine the most interesting methods for conducting practical exercises. Based on the results of the experiment, it was found that, based on the level of knowledge of students in the group, the consistent use of methods of cooperation and competition in language training sessions gave positive results.
