Programul Național LecturaCentral – o perspectivă durabilă privind promovarea cărții și lecturii

In the year 2018 the National Library of the Republic of Moldova initiated the LecturaCentral National Book and Reading Promotion Program that focused on phenomenon of reading as a sustainable perspective for development of the society accordingto trends of the 21st century. The program is carried out with the involvement of libraries in the national system and, three years in a row, is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova on the basis of cultural projects. The necessity of the national program to promote reading and educate members of the community through reading is specified through the prism of basic functions of the library.
