Technological development is increasing the amount of scientific data created at an unprecedent rate. However, most often, these data are not available to contribute to the discovery of new knowledge due to a lack of good practices in data management and openness. The open science and FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) movement is trying to reverse the trend by developing guiding principles for opening and sharing scientific data. In this poster, we want to show how the QUAMPO project sought to be part of this movement, thus aiming to become a pioneer project in opening multidisciplinary data in ecotoxicological monitoring of biomarkers in Corsican ports. Key documents were produced to enable future access, understanding and reuse of the QUAMPO data by various stakeholders: a multi-table database was created, enriched with metadata, a data dictionary, a conceptual data model, described in a data paper and openly shared on the French portal for biodiversity data (PNDB). All encountered challenges and proposed solutions have been transcribed into documents deposited in open registries (With their own PID) to assist future studies wishing to join the open science movement.

Finally, we conclude that the management, the opening and the FAIRization of data from a scientific project seem to be difficult tasks. However, their contribution to a better understanding between researchers, pioneering value of the FAIR principles, as well as to a better explanation and reuse of the data makes these steps essential for any project wishing to see its results used to advance research for purposes of sustainability and of sharing of scientific knowledge.
