Synodus lucioceps
Description
Synodus lucioceps (Ayres, 1855).
California Lizardfish. To 63.9 cm (25.2 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Cape Beal, British Columbia (Fulton and LeBrasseur 1985) to Guaymas, Gulf of California (Miller and Lea 1972). Benthic; depth: surface (nightlight; Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), 1–250 m (4–820 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max.: NWFSC-FRAM).
