Abstract
At Linked Pasts IV in Mainz 2018, the Linked Pasts Network had a session on "Linked Data Tools and Pipelines". As a result, the LinkedPipes Working Group was born, further developed during Linked Pasts V in Bordeaux. The main goal of Linked Pipes is to semantically model pipelines for LOD related workflows. The Linked Pipes is based on a specific ontology which assumes that a tool is linked into the Linked Open Data Cloud via Wikidata. This hackathon will be a virtual discussion room for further development of the data structure and goal, and discussion of ways to participate. It is splitted into two online sessions where the community may get an introduction, try out modelling linked pipes, report challenges and problems, discuss solutions and plan the next steps. A particular emphasis should be given to the incorporation and reuse of related Linked Data vocabularies for software workflow descriptions, a connection of linked pipes to traditional modes of publication (publication workflow identifiers) and the description of provenance of data and an adequate representation of such pipes to all audiences. The results should be implemented, sketched, discussed and finally published as a working paper for documenting data workflows.
