Digital Rights and Ethical Usage of (Big) Data / Derechos digitales y usos éticos de (grandes) datos

Paz Hermosilla, Maria

In this workshop, you will reflect on the rights that could be affected by the use of data and automated decision-making systems in the public sector. After an introduction on key principles such as transparency, privacy, fairness and accountability, you will learn about specific use cases implemented in Chile through an algorithm registry made by GobLab UAI and discussion with your peers.

Primary funding was provided by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), with addition financial and in-kind support provided by Eclac, FORCE11, and the Sloan Foundation through the Reimagining Educational Practices for Open (REPO) project.
