College, Sambalpur-768 004, Odisha, India</p>\n\n<p>E-mail : pradeepdas1960@gmail.com</p>\n\n<p>School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University, Jyotivihar, Burla-768 019, Odisha, India</p>\n\n<p>Manuscript received online 29 December 2013, accepted 05 May 2014</p>\n\n<p>A few mono and bimetallic trinuclear metal complexes of the type [<strong>MCuM(BAHBD</strong>)<strong><sub>2</sub>X<sub>2</sub> (H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>4</sub></strong><sub> </sub>], where <strong>M = Cu<sup>II</sup>, Ni<sup>II</sup>, Co<sup>II</sup>; X = Cl</strong>, <strong>Br, NO<sub>3</sub></strong> and <strong>BAHBD </strong>= bis(<strong>N<sub>2</sub> ,N<sub>2 </sub>´</strong>-acetylacetonehydrazonato)-<strong>N<sub>1</sub> ,N<sub>1</sub>´</strong>-benzil dihydrazone have been isolated in a stepwise reaction from the precursor copper bis(benzil dihydrazone) complex. These have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic properties, conductivity measurements and thermal analyses. The ligand as well as the metal complexes exhibited good antimicrobial activities against the pathogenic fungus <em>Aspergillus niger</em>, <em>Helminthosporium oryzae</em> and <em>Fusarium oxysporium.</em></p>", "author": [ { "family": "P.
