I Licei Scientifici ad indirizzo sportivo: uno studio esplorativo

I Licei Scientifici ad Indirizzo Sportivo (LiSS) nascono in Italia nel 2013. Attualmente sono più di 200: si tratta di uno dei nuovi percorsi di indirizzo di maggior successo. Il tentativo è quello d’integrare la pratica sportiva con quella scolastica, al fine di colmare un ritardo che caratterizza il nostro sistema formativo rispetto a quelli più avanzati. Questo studio vuole offrire una prima comprensione sociologica del fenomeno attraverso un’analisi secondaria dei dati raccolti dal MIUR.

In Italy, Science High Schools offering a curricular concentration on sport (Licei Scientifici ad Indirizzo Sportivo, or LiSS), started their courses in 2013. From the beginning, these schools were attended by many students. Currently, there are more than 200 schools of this kind in Italy. Their aim is to couple sport as a subject with other curricular disciplines in order to provide students and young athletes with a more complete education, filling the gap between Italy and the majority of European countries. The scope of this study is to sketch a first sociological and pedagogical interpretation of the programs offered by LiSS through a secondary analysis of data collected by the Italian Ministry of Education.
