These data offer many possibilities for augmenting PLATO findings. The
\nhigh angular resolution of Gaia provides separate light curves of stars
\nincluded in the wide PSF of PLATO, thus allowing immediate elimination of
\nfalse positives by background eclipsing binaries and, in other cases,
\nconfirming that the PLATO transits are indeed originating from the target
\nstars. A similar synergy between Gaia and TESS is already taking place
\nusing non-public Gaia data, some results are given in this presentation.
\nFinally, we show the first transiting exoplanet detected by Gaia - Gaia-1 b.
", "language": "eng", "title": "PLATO-Gaia synergy for studying transiting exoplanets", "license": { "id": "CC-BY-4.0" }, "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5574328" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5574329" } } ] }, "communities": [ { "id": "plato2021" } ], "subjects": [], "keywords": [ "Gaia" ], "publication_date": "2021-10-15", "creators": [ { "orcid": "0000-0001-5850-4373", "affiliation": "Tel Aviv University", "name": "Panahi, Aviad" }, { "orcid": "0000-0002-3569-3391", "affiliation": "Tel Aviv University", "name": "Mazeh, Tsevi" }, { "orcid": "0000-0003-3173-3138", "affiliation": "Tel Aviv University", "name": "Zucker, Shay" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "type": "presentation", "title": "Presentation" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.5281/zenodo.5574328", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
