    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;By the time PLATO launches, Gaia data is assumed to be all public,&lt;br&gt;
including the epoch data of photometry, astrometry and radial velocities&lt;br&gt;
(RV). These data offer many possibilities for augmenting PLATO findings. The&lt;br&gt;
high angular resolution of Gaia provides separate light curves of stars&lt;br&gt;
included in the wide PSF of PLATO, thus allowing immediate elimination of&lt;br&gt;
false positives by background eclipsing binaries and, in other cases,&lt;br&gt;
confirming that the PLATO transits are indeed originating from the target&lt;br&gt;
stars.&amp;nbsp;A similar synergy between Gaia and TESS is already taking place&lt;br&gt;
using non-public Gaia data, some results are given in this presentation.&lt;br&gt;
Finally, we show the first transiting exoplanet detected by Gaia - Gaia-1 b.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
