I will present the architecture and input physics of the SAPP pipeline that will be used to determine non-seismic stellar parameters for the PLATO core sample.<br>\nIn this talk, I will discuss how we cope with rapid yet painstaking developments in stellar atmosphere modelling, including radiation hydrodynamics theory, atomic and molecular physics, machine learning and numerical analysis methods, - the developments that form the basis of the unique diagnostic capabilties of the SAPP. I will highlight our successes and challenges, and close with the prospects for PLATO and other future projects that aim to capitalise on unprecendeted data available from ground- and space-based observations.</p>\n\n<p> </p>", "license": { "id": "CC-BY-4.0" }, "title": "Non-seismic (and Non-LTE) stellar parameters for the PLATO core sample", "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5568758" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5568759" } } ] }, "grants": [ { "code": "949173", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/grants/10.13039/501100000780::949173" }, "title": "Role of extreme events in Galaxy evolution", "acronym": "ELEMENTS", "program": "Horizon 2020 Framework Programme - European Research Council - Starting Grant", "funder": { "doi": "10.13039/501100000780", "acronyms": [], "name": "European Commission", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/funders/10.13039/501100000780" } } } ], "communities": [ { "id": "plato2021" } ], "publication_date": "2021-10-14", "creators": [ { "affiliation": "MPIA, NBIA", "name": "Bergemann, Maria" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "type": "presentation", "title": "Presentation" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.5281/zenodo.5568758", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
