However the duration of its long stares are insufficient to measure circumbinary planet masses accurately using eclipse timing variations of the central binary. In this talk I show our efforts on HARPS and SOPHIE to detect circumbinary planets orbiting single-lined eclipse binaries. I will show the first ground-based detections of circumbinary planets made by SOPHIE, HARPS in radial-velocities, and the<br>\nfirst circumbinary planet transit obtained from ground, using ASTEP in Antarctica. The methods we are developing are key to prepare for the confirmation of PLATO's circumbinary planets.<br>\n<br>\n </p>", "language": "eng", "title": "Confirming & detecting circumbinary planets using radial-velocities.", "license": { "id": "CC-BY-4.0" }, "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5557314" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5557315" } } ] }, "communities": [ { "id": "plato2021" } ], "grants": [ { "code": "803193", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/grants/10.13039/501100000780::803193" }, "title": "Binaries Escorted By Orbiting Planets", "acronym": "BEBOP", "program": "H2020", "funder": { "doi": "10.13039/501100000780", "acronyms": [], "name": "European Commission", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/funders/10.13039/501100000780" } } }, { "code": "ST/S00193X/1", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/grants/10.13039/501100000690::ST/S00193X/1" }, "title": "Red-enhanced cameras to seek rocky planets transiting Ultra-Cool Dwarfs", "acronym": "", "program": "STFC", "funder": { "doi": "10.13039/501100000690", "acronyms": [], "name": "Research Councils UK", "links": { "self": "https://zenodo.org/api/funders/10.13039/501100000690" } } } ], "keywords": [ "Exoplanets", "Circumbinary exoplanets", "Binary stars", "PLATO", "Radial-velocities", "Antarctica", "Transit" ], "publication_date": "2021-10-08", "creators": [ { "orcid": "0000-0002-5510-8751", "affiliation": "University of Birmingham", "name": "Amaury H.M.J.Triaud" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "type": "presentation", "title": "Presentation" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.5281/zenodo.5557314", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
