    "description": "<p>ORISON is an H2020 European-funded project created to carry out a feasibility and design study of an astronomically-oriented balloon facility that could deploy one or several small-to-medium-sized stabilized telescopes and a suite of other scientific instruments as light payloads to do state of the art research at acceptable costs.</p>\n\n<p>Advantages of stratospheric observations of meteors:</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Closer to the source</p>\n\n<p>&bull;No clouds blocking the view</p>\n\n<p>&bull;More atmospheric volume available due to transparency of the stratosphere -&gt; larger statistics.</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Interplanetary dust collecting</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Less Rayleigh/Mie scattering (Moon/Sun/light pollution)</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Daytime observation.</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Inside or underneath the event</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Flexibility (new tech)</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Cheaper (100 k&euro; vs 1 M&euro;)</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Low sky brightness</p>\n\n<p>&bull;UV, Visible, IR and Radio transparent</p>\n\n<p>Other advantages:</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Low cost of development (vs NASA and JAXA probes)</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Fast development</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Synergies with other scientific cases</p>\n\n<p>&bull;More flexibility on location</p>\n\n<p>&bull;Missions from 2 h to 100+ days</p>",
