    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;De coronamaatregelen hebben in 2020 zichtbaar effect gehad op de dienstverlening van de openbare bibliotheken. Er werden minder boeken uitgeleend en minder activiteiten georganiseerd. Ook werd de bibliotheek minder bezocht dan andere jaren. De bibliotheek bleek echter ook veerkrachtig: in korte tijd werd veel alternatieve dienstverlening georganiseerd, de online Bibliotheek floreerde en kwetsbare groepen konden ook in coronatijd bij de bibliotheek terecht. Dit blijkt uit de bibliotheekgegevens die de KB over het jaar 2020 heeft verzameld en in samenwerking met de Vereniging van Openbare Bibliotheken (VOB), de Stichting Samenwerkende POI&amp;rsquo;s Nederland (SPN) en het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) heeft gepubliceerd. De statistieken tonen aan dat bibliotheken ook in coronatijd meer zijn dan alleen hun uitleenfunctie.&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
