Description

Cothurnia sinuosa (Wailes, 1943)

Record as epibiont on cnidarians: The species was registered at hydroids from the Barents Sea near Murmansk, Russia (Jankowski 2007).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species was originally described as Cothurnia compressa f. sinuosa Wailes, 1943 on green algae from Strait of Georgia, Canada (Wailes 1943).

Remarks: Warren & Paynter (1991) updated the status of this from a variety to species level.
