Building safe and reliable automated
\nvehicles require specific testing methods that are adapted to higher levels of automation. Harmonised
\nEuropean Solutions for Testing Automated Road Transport (HEADSTART) is a research project
\nfunded by the European Union that aims to define testing and validation procedures for CAD
\nfunctions. HEADSTART brings a methodology for testing and validating these functions with
\nData-Driven Scenario-Based Safety Assurance. The goal of this paper is first to present the overall
\nHEADSTART methodology for validating CAD safety, and then further explain three aspects of it,
\nsuch as: The database mechanics to extract and parametrize logical scenarios, the relevance metrics for
\nthe selection of scenarios, and the allocation of scenarios for test execution.
", "contributors": [ { "type": "Researcher", "name": "Wei\u00dfensteiner, Patrick" }, { "type": "Researcher", "name": "Coget, Jean-Baptiste" }, { "type": "Researcher", "name": "Eckstein, Lutz" }, { "type": "Researcher", "name": "Bracquemond, Annie" } ], "title": "Common Methodology for Data-Driven Scenario-Based Safety Assurance in the HEADSTART Project", "license": { "id": "CC-BY-4.0" }, "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5358056" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "5358057" } } ] }, "keywords": [ "Automated Driving", "Safety Assurance" ], "publication_date": "2020-11-09", "creators": [ { "affiliation": "Researcher", "name": "Wagener, Nicolas" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "subtype": "conferencepaper", "type": "publication", "title": "Conference paper" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.5281/zenodo.5358056", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
